Man killed by forklift at National Pipe & Plastics |

VESTAL — A tractor-trailer driver was killed Friday afternoon after being struck by a forklift outside the National Pipe & Plastics facility in Vestal.The incident happened at about 4:30 p.m. in a loading area within the company’s 12-acre pipe yard. The driver was struck after he had stepped out between his vehicle and the forklift, operated by a National Pipe employee, as it was backing up to load pipes into the trailer, said company president David Culbertson.
