Chevy FAIL’s by confusing aliens to pitch Volt in Super Bowl ad… While Eastwood’s knocks it out of the park for Chrysler

This commercial looked like a joke compared to the moving words of Clint Eastwood’s:

Chrysler – It’s Halftime In America –Super Bowl 2012. This country can’t be knocked out with one punch. We get right back up again and when we do the world is going to hear the roar of our engines. Yeah, it’s halftime America. And, our second half is about to begin.

VOLT insults buyers for not understanding the “mechanics” of VOLT… here let our made up aliens show you how???

AutoBlogGreen – Just when you thought you’d seen all the Super Bowl ads there were to see, Chevrolet jumps in with a whole new spot for the Chevrolet Volt. The supposed savior of General Motors has been struggling to make sales headway for a number of reasons. GM managed to move a paltry 603 units in January. With some dealers refusing their allocations, the automaker is keen on putting the spurs to Volt sales. The Super Bowl ad features a host of very curious aliens attempting to comprehend the science behind the propulsion system in the Chevrolet Volt.

It would seem GM believes buyers are being scared off from the Volt because they simply don’t understand the mechanics behind the plug-in hybrid.
